Order Cancellation Policy

This page is about cancelling an order. If your order already arrived and you want to send it back or get your money back, use the Return and Refund Policy instead.

Cancelling before dispatch

You can cancel any order that has not yet shipped, for any reason, free of charge. Email info@decoreauremont.com with your order number, or call (+1) 819-212-7565 during business hours. We refund the full amount to your original payment method.

We take 5 to 7 business days to dispatch, so you usually have a comfortable window. Once a parcel is with the carrier we cannot recall it.

Cancelling after dispatch

Once shipped, an order cannot be cancelled. You can refuse delivery, or claim under the Return and Refund Policy.

Your legal cancellation rights in Quebec

Quebec's Consumer Protection Act gives you cancellation rights for distance contracts that exist regardless of anything above. You may cancel if:

Your goods are not delivered within 30 days of the delivery date we gave you, or of the purchase date if no date was given. You may cancel any time before they arrive. Our goods ship from suppliers outside Canada and typically take 12 to 22 business days in total, so please read the Shipping Policy before ordering.
We did not give you the required information before you bought. You have 7 days from receiving the contract to cancel.
We did not send you a copy of the contract within 15 days of purchase. You have 30 days from the purchase to cancel.
The contract we sent is incomplete, or you cannot save or print it. You have 7 days from receiving it to cancel.

To cancel under any of these, send us written notice. It takes effect the moment you send it, so keep proof. An email to info@decoreauremont.com is enough.

We must refund you within 15 days of the cancellation. If we do not, you may ask your credit card issuer to reverse the charge, and they are required to do so.

The Office de la protection du consommateur publishes a sample cancellation notice at opc.gouv.qc.ca.

Cancellations by us

We may cancel and refund in full if an item is out of stock at our supplier, if it was listed at an obviously wrong price, or if we cannot verify payment or the delivery address. We email you if that happens.
